Handmade Walnut Arch Floor Lamp — Bespoke MCM Design

We didn’t set out to build a lamp. We set out to answer a question: could you take the same bent-lamination technique that makes a hockey stick flex without breaking, and use it to build something that arcs — no metal rod, no machined curve, just thin layers of solid walnut glued and clamped until the wood held that shape on its own.

This is that lamp — a single continuous arm sweeping from a hand-joined tripod base up into a dramatic curve, with visible layered grain lines running the full length that give it real depth you won’t find in a machine-milled piece. A woven cotton cord suspends a soft drum shade at the end, casting warm ambient light over a reading chair, sofa, or quiet corner.
